I took a walk down to the seafront today with a friend who had told me they were selling off a lot of the metalwork from the West Pier. I thought it might be interesting so I grabbed my camera and went down for a look.
For a start all the items were situated in a creepy looking storage space tucked under the old entrance to the pier. I had always wanted to have a look round in there, but it's always been locked since I have known about it, so that was a bonus!
There was a good selection of ornate metalwork on offer, at surprisingly high prices! I did manage to buy a very small section of prominade metalwork for a dirt cheap price as a souvenir.

Received my first batch of business cards today.
Ordered them from Moo, who I would thoroughly recommend. Great shipping time, good quality and I have a different one of my images on the back of every card!
I should hopefully have some more photos up for you soon, I have been a bit busy working on different things!

Brighton Beach
I haven't managed to get out and take many new pictures in the last few weeks, so yesterday while I had the day off work I headed out for some snapping.
Here is an effort I am really pleased with from Brighton beach.
It was freezing down there!

BTCC - Competition winner!
A couple of months ago, I uploaded some of my pictures from my day watching the British Touring Car Championship @ Brands Hatch onto the HiQ website.
I was more than happy to receive an e-mail yesterday afternoon telling me that one of the images had won a competition to win a new camera!
The winning shot is the one above.
Here is some of what they had to say about the photo:
"The HiQ fast fit network received hundreds of entries from devoted fans, with a host of images capturing their favourite driver's trials and tribulations around the track.
But there was one shot that stood out to HiQ, which the brand believes conveys all the excitement and anticipation of a day watching one of the world's best motorsport events.
HiQ retail marketing manager Geraldine McGovern said: "We had hundreds of entries to choose from and while the decision was extremely tough, we couldn't see any other winner apart from Phil's once we'd looked through each entry closely.
"We wanted a photo that captured the spirit of the British Touring Car Championship and that is exactly what Phil managed with this shot."

British Bulldog
I went along to the yearly Veteran Car Run in Brighton yesterday. Some amazing machines there and we'll worth a look.
I saw this glum looking chap sitting in one of the cars and couldn't resist taking a snap.

Zombie Walk
I went to the Brighton Zombie walk this weekend.
It seems to get more and more popular each year, apparently there were over 3000 participants this time!
Anyway, it's always good for a few photos so here is one!

The observation wheel on Brighton seafront is nearly complete, and I went along tonight to take some photos. Lucky for me they were testing the lights at the time!
